Putting Under Pressure Part 1

Putting Under Pressure Part 2

In Part 1 you learned the pressure drill in one direction with a right-to-left break.

Now it is time to train the opposite direction with a left-to-right break.

Many golfers only practice their comfortable side. This creates a hidden weakness that shows up under pressure on the course.

Mastering Feel on the Greens Part 1

Mastering Feel on the Greens Part 2

Repeat the exact same feel drill from Part 1, but mirror the setup and the break.

Speed Control Part 1

Note: The exact distance between the tees and the distance to the hole should be relatively long. The distances you putt from can vary. Choose the distances based on where your biggest weakness currently is and what gives you the best feel for the greens.

You can also turn this exercise into a game.

  • If you hole the putt, you earn +2 points.
  • If the ball finishes short of the hole, you lose 1 point.
  • If the ball stops between the alignment stick and the hole, you earn +1 point.
  • If the ball rolls past the alignment stick, you lose 1 point.

When you play this game, pay attention to how many points you collect and whether you finish in the negative or positive range.

Speed Control Part 2

If Part 1 was a downhill putt, Part 2 becomes an uphill putt.
